Khabarovsk Region produces all-time high 24.8 tns of gold in 2018
KHABAROVSK, Apr 19 (PRIME) -- Gold output of Russia’s Khabarovsk Region hit a historical record of 24.8 tonnes in 2018, the regional government said in a report on Friday.
“In 2018, production of gold grew by a whopping 7%, to 24.8 tonnes. This was an absolute historical record for the region. A company producing tin metal also showed good results, its amount of production grew 50% to 1,500 tonnes,” the government said.
Investments in the mining industry in the region amounted to 22.2 billion rubles. A new ore-dressing plant was launched by Amur Zoloto on the Perevalnoye deposit with the capacity of 1.8 tonnes of gold per year.
The production plan for 2019 stands at 24.9 tonnes, 200 kilograms of platinum and 1,600 tonnes of tin metal.
